First “Successful” Moon Shot

First Moon Shot

This is my first successful shot of the moon taken last April 20, 2006. Played with the Manual controls on my Panasonic Lumix FZ-20. This shot was taken hand-held because I had no tripod, correction, I dont have a tripod.

On this first attempt I used the maximum zoom capability of the camera, 48x (12x optical X 4x digital). It was only later when I uploaded the files that I realized the optical zoom was what I really needed for the shot. I could have saved myself from the trouble of guessing the correct focus.

Unfortunately, this crop has stripped off the EXIF data from the original file. Thanks to lack of image editing software. Thanks to MSPaint. :p

Follow this “thread” for more shots of the moon. *wink*
